Notional dwelling
Part L 2021 Where to start, A guide for housebuilders and their advisors, Masonry construction, published by the Future Homes Hub in June 2022, states in relation to the notional dwelling: ‘In SAP (Standard Assessment Procedure), this is a notional home of the same size and shape as the new home, which is created based on the reference values in Appendix R. This notional home is used to calculate the TER and TFEE values against which the new home is assessed.’
